I just couldn’t help thinking ‘Satellite Direct TV scam’ when I saw an ad for Satellite Direc TV a while ago. I could see that the concept was novel but then I couldn’t get over the skepticism attached to online purchases. The legality of the Satellite Direct TV was another concern that arose in my mind and based on these concerns, I had to carry out some research to get results.
Bought Satellite Direct TV
You need to understand the temptation I had to buy the product immediately especially as I was in Europe at the time to spend a period of 90 days on work assignment. Coincidentally, the football team I support had a major match fixture for that day and I could barely resist the urge to download this software that would enable me watch the game live.
What I did next was to spend a couple of hours reading materials I could find on the product. Apart from wanting to verify whether Satellite Direct TV was illegal or not, I wanted to ascertain its quality and then the number of channels it had to offer.
One of the first things that I discovered is that Satellite Direct is actually perfectly legal. This is due to the Free To Air protocol, an arrangement by which mass viewing of national and local TV stations worldwide can be viewed all over the world.
The user reviews that I read also applauded the excellent HD quality of the various stations which they watched. I was also extremely impressed to see that a popular technology magazine scored Satellite Direct TV high. It was at this point that I decided to make a positive move by downloading this software. Another nice thing that I discovered was that it worked well both on Macs and PCs.
I proceeded to download the software. This cost $49 but then that was only a part of the monthly price of cable, it was okay by me. Again considering that I did not need to pay for cable again.
All I had to do was make my payment and in about five minutes, I was good to go on my Satellite Direct TV. All that was left was for me to download the software and then install it. Easy as eating pie and it was no different from what was advertised. I couldn’t ask for a better picture quality and the sound was just as great while the picture did not freeze. I got these in addition to getting loads and loads of TV stations. And lest I forget, I capped it all by watching my favorite team win their match that day.
Satellite Direct TV Channels!
There are over 3, 500 TV stations operating all over the world right now. The chances are very high that regardless of the country where the channel you wish to watch is located, Satellite Direct has it. The genre of stations ranges wide from sports to lifestyle, movies to news, all are right there for your enjoyment. Again, you get all of them in DVD quality.
What really surprised me is the fact that most people are still in ignorance of Satellite Direct. I am very sure that very very soon, most people will have software like this installed in place of a regular cable plan.
Let me highlight to you some of the things I like the most about Satellite Direct:
- $49.95 was all I had to pay for it. There are no hidden charges and no subscription fees. I had made all necessary payments upon paying that initial sum.
- There are more channels available on Satellite Direct than I have on my paid cable.
- I went on ahead to cancel my cable TV plan. Now, I just hook my Satellite Direct up to my 42” Plasma. This allows me to watch TV on my actual screen. I get quality that is as good as what is available on HDTV. You might have to wait to verify for yourself but you’ll likely end up like me…cancelling your cable plan.
Now back to the original question; is Satellite Direct a scam? NO it isn’t! It’s legal, contains tons of TV stations, free with high quality picture and sound. You will enjoy it.

I’ve had Satellite Direct for a few months now and It’s great. You can even plug your laptop into your tv and watch full satellite tv on the big screen.

You guys must work for a cable company. There is full screen. The channels are very specific, ESPN, HGTV…etc. I just got through watching it with a friend that has it. You have to wait about 30 seconds for the channel to start but once it starts it works fine. They even had HBO.
